The renowned photographer, 32, and his husband Jeff Richardson, shared a shot via Instagram in which they were posed in front of their family home with the babies, a boy and a girl, in tow.

'Christmas came early! Welcome home PB&J, our hearts are pouring over with love,' he wrote, adding that 'this has been the greatest journey of our lives and yet it is just the beginning.'

Awww! Gray Malin, 32, and his husband Jeff Richardson shared a shot via Instagram in which they were posed in front of their family home with the babies, a boy and a girl, in tow, after welcoming the twins via surrogate last week

Malin - a photographer-lifestyle expert known for his 2016 New York Times bestselling book Beaches, and his work with Disney and Veuve Clicquot - wrapped up in saying, 'Merry everything, friends! Xox.'

Last Sunday Malin shared a shot of himself with Richardson and the newborns, writing, 'Oh happy day! Welcome home PB&J, you are truly a gift from god.'

The photographer this past September revealed that he and his spouse were expecting twins via a surrogate in a detailed blog on his personal site.

'I hope you can understand how unbelievably exciting it is to share the news that we are having twins,' he wrote. 'I know everyone’s journey is different but from the day I met Jeff twelve years ago to now, this is something we have dreamed of and I truly cannot believe we will soon have a baby boy and baby girl in our lives!'

Proud parents: The couple, who have been married since 2012, posed earlier this month with the newborn children

The Dallas, Texas-born fine arts experts said he's kept a lot on his plate throughout 2018 to ensure that he would have the time and resources necessary when the children were born.

'You may have noticed that I have been very busy this year,' he wrote. 'Well, knowing that these wonderful babies were on the way, I decided to work harder than ever so I could enjoy some time off when they are due this Christmas and into the new year.'

'After the embryos are frozen you typically have a lawyer and use an agency to match you with a surrogate,' he explained. 'This also takes time; with a little patience and a lot of trust, there are many wonderful surrogates out there.'

He said he and Richardson 'were incredibly lucky to find ours only a few hours away from our home in Los Angeles.'

Malin explained his joy throughout the process, as he said, 'Watching the development of them at each ultrasound is absolutely mesmerizing and hearing their heartbeats makes me quiver with a feeling I cannot describe.

He continued: 'I used to joke with Jeff that the best Christmas gift he could ever give me was a puppy that pops out of a present with a big bow around his neck. Well, the puppy has quickly been forgotten as all I can dream about now is a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.'
